But I am surprised by your experience in regards to costs: What I typically see is the โcashโ (read: non-negotiated-by-insurance-companies) price of tests and treatments are orders of magnitude higher than for โcoveredโ patients (once they have met their ridiculously high deductibles)โ that is: People who can least afford to pay get charged the most.
